Field Trip

On May 8th we went on a field trip to MacSkimming Outdoor Education Center. We went fishing with nets and containers. I found a black larva. It was really challenging because you needed to avoid all the leaves. We also played  “Camoflage”. I could not get out once. That was how hard I was hiding. After we went hunting in the forest trying to tag each other. The game was called “Survival”. The teachers threw balls at us while we were trying to tag each other. Morah Sigal got Isaac talking, then pulled a ball out and whipped it at him. I saw Mr. Watters throw at Jackson and missed. Really ironic because he served in the Navy. Jackson threw it right back. Mr. Watters caught it and whipped the ball right back. Jackson got a freebie for that but I don’t think he will next time.  I found a way to get over wobbly logs on mud. You pick up a stick and get over the log using the stick. It was really fun, but I got my shoes and socks really wet. The next time I go there I don’t want it to be so muddy.

THE END

Sunflower Without Sun

My sunflower…is DEAD. Over the break, my sunflower didn’t get enough sun and water, so it died. You get the picture. Beware, this next part is really annoying. 4B got to sirana wrap their seeds so theirs won’t die! Luckily, Mr. Watters let us plant another of the same seed so it won’t feel like the sunflower is going to be gone forever.

Cups of seeds

We transferred the seeds into cups of dirt! We added a bit more water to our seeds. Mine looks like this:

You can see a white sprout coming out of the cup.

It is going  to be a sunflower when it is finished. If it is finished…

We started on April 4th. Now what you see above is what it looks like now!
